Tempo Training Breathwork
Introduction

Duration: 6 minutes
Level: Open (suitable for all levels)
Props Needed: None (optional: eye mask or bolster for comfort)

In this 6-minute video, you’ll learn the fundamentals of Tempo Training Breathwork, a rhythm-based breathwork style that helps you stay grounded and regulated—even when life moves at different speeds. This technique uses intentional breath pacing (like 8:8, 4:4, and 2:2 patterns) to train your nervous system to respond with calm and clarity through change, stress, or activation.

Unlike box breathing, Tempo Training does not include breath holds between inhales and exhales—only smooth, continuous breathing with guided counts. Longer counts (like 8:8 or 4:4) offer grounding and spaciousness, while shorter patterns (like 2:2) bring energy and focus.

You’ll also learn how to:
Use mouth vs. nose breathing based on the tempo
Recognize physical or emotional sensations as part of the release process
Gently integrate breath holds to deepen the benefits (always optional)
Let music and rhythm guide your breath into flow

This introduction sets the tone for the audio classes that follow—including extended and shorter versions of the same technique, so you can adapt to whatever your day holds.
